Tottenham Hotspur have scheduled a medical to be undertaken by Richarlison today after reaching an agreement in principle with Everton overnight, according to The Athletic.

The deal is reported to be worth up to £60million for the Toffees which would consist of a figure in the region of £50 million, with up to a further £10million based on add-ons.

Talks are set to continue between the two Premier League clubs over the structure of the payments, while personal terms with the striker are already said to have been agreed.

Richarlison would become Spurs’ fourth signing of the summer, following in the footsteps of Ivan Perisc and Fraser Forster who both joined as free agents and were later joined by Brighton’s Yves Bissouma.

Our View – Further strength added

Antonio Conte is a serial winner and will expect Tottenham to compete on both fronts for the Premier League and Champions League, given the lack of depth in last season’s squad where he often turned to the substitutes bench for inspiration to make a change to his team, only to turn back to the pitch spoke volumes.

He is quickly building a side where there is now depth and competition for places, if Harry Kane suffers one of his ankle issues in the future we now have a ready-made replacement to fill the void.
