Son Heung-min has admitted that he is not comfortable with the things that are being written in the media about his future, insisting that he still has unfinished business in the Premier League.
Son has just a year left to run on his current deal at Tottenham but the North London club has an option to extend it by another year, which reports indicate that they plan on taking up (The Athletic).
In the meantime, speculation over the 31-year-old’s future continues to run rife, with the forward thought to remain on the radar of multiple Saudi Arabian sides (GiveMeSport).
Over the last few weeks, there have even been suggestions that the Tottenham captain could head to Turkey this summer and reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce (TEAMtalk).
Meanwhile, some outlets have continued to maintain over the last few months that the Lilywhites also intend to offer Son a new long-term deal sooner rather than later and that the club are confident of striking an agreement with the former Bayer Leverkusen man (Football Insider).
The forward himself has now broken his silence about the future, ruling out a departure from the Premier League this summer.
When asked about the speculation suggesting that he might leave Tottenham, Son told The Korea Times: “I have not had any exchanges with the club. I don’t have anything to say at this point. I feel a little uncomfortable with the situation. I am going to keep doing my best for Tottenham. I still have terms left on my contract.
“Money is not important to me. The most important thing is to play in a league that I enjoy playing in. I have so much more I want to accomplish in the Premier League.”

It is clear that all the rumours about Son’s future are completely baseless, with Postcoglou evidently seeing the forward as being central to his project and the South Korean fully buying into the Australian’s methods.
