Tottenham Hotspur have certainly been reaping the rewards of James Maddison’s exceptional displays this season.
The England international is already looking to be one of the signings of the summer with his £40million fee (Football.London) in today’s transfer market, a bargain fee considering what he brings to the table.
Tottenham fans are not alone in their admiration of Maddison, after his England team-mate Eberechi Eze singled out the 26-year-old’s passing ability.
The Crystal Palace player, who missed the recent Premier League clash between the two sides through injury admitted that Maddison’s passing stats on the new EA Sports FC 24 computer game warranted a better rating.
He told the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel: “I don’t think he will be happy with that (86 passing rating). He is better than that I think. From what I’ve seen in real life it’s an 89 job at least. He’s talented man, he’s a talented boy for sure.”

Maddison has taken to life at Tottenham like a duck to water and Ange Postecoglou’s decision to appoint him as a vice-captain to Heung-min Son is proving to be a masterstroke with the playmaker having helped to fill some of the void left by Harry Kane.
