Tottenham Hotspur consider Harry Kane to be ‘untouchable’ despite reported interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn was coy in an interview with SportBILD when asked if the German giants could make a move this summer or next for the England captain, by instead claiming it would be a ‘dream of the future.

The Bundesliga side have just parted company with the prolific Robert Lewandowski, who has joined Barcelona in a £42.5m deal (Daily Mail).

Kane was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City last summer with Pep Guardiola admitting that he wanted to bring the marksman to the Eithad, only to come up against a defiant Daniel Levy who was unwilling to enter into talks with the Premier League champions (Manchester Evening News).

The 28-year-old is under contract in north London until the summer of 2024, with the player said to be open to the prospect of entering into talks with the club over a new deal (Evening Standard).

Romano said in his column on Monday for Caught Offside: “Despite speculation involving Bayern Munich and a possible move in 2023, Tottenham consider Harry Kane untouchable.”
