Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed Inter Milan have taken rumored Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain target Milan Skriniar off the transfer market.

Skriniar has been linked with a move away from San Siro this summer and the Serie A outfit are said to have grown frustrated with PSG for failing to meet their valuation of the 27-year-old.

The Slovakian international has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur over recent times (Football.London), however, PSG were understood to have been leading the chase for his signature.

Inter are now planning to offer the central defender a new contract to persuade him to remain at the club having missed out on Torino’s Gleison Bremer who has joined rivals Juventus to replace Matthijs De Ligt, who recently completed his move to Bayern Munich.

Journalist Alex Crook recently suggested that Spurs could look to bring in one more defender this summer, having already secured the services of Clement Lenglet on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona (GiveMeSport).

Our View

There are likely to have to be outgoings before Tottenham look to make any more signings with the dressing room at Hotspur Way almost at bursting point.  Typically one move can set off a chain reaction of deals and there is no doubt that Fabio Paratici is busy making that happen.

With Japhet Tanganga having been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan and question marks over Joe Rodon’s future, the club are still lacking a top-quality defender of the calibre of the likes of Skinirar, Gvardiol or Bastoni on the left side of their defence.
