Italian giants Napoli have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign out-of-favour French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on loan with an option to buy next season, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
It was reported yesterday that at least ten clubs were interested in signing the talented French midfielder this summer, with La liga outfit Villarreal and Napoli considered to be front runners to land Spurs’ club record signing (Foot Mercato)
Newcastle United also emerged as contenders to sign the former Lyon player, according to Media Foot, however it appears that Serie A could be his next destination as he looks to get his career back on track.
Sky Sports News reported yesterday that Ndombele along with Giovani Lo Celso, Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon who have been told they are surplus to requirements at Tottenham have been training alone at Hotspur Way.
Ndombele spent the second half of last season on loan at Lyon, with his former club deciding against taking up the option to sign him on a permanent basis.

Our View
A move to Napoli will be a good solution for Tanguy Ndombele. Whilst Spurs would have wanted to sell the player permanently and get him off our books, a loan move with an option to buy appears to be the most realistic solution.
Ndombele has all the talent in the world but lacks the work rate to go with it, Antonio Conte expects his players to work for each other and run themselves into the ground which is something that is currently not part of the Frenchman’s game.
