Tottenham Hotspur are said to be asking for a fee in the region of £20million to part company with Harry Winks this summer, according to the Evening Standard.
The England international has been told that he can leave his boyhood club ahead of the new season with Everton keen to agree a deal to bring him to Goodison Park, where he would join former team-mate Dele Alli.
Despite having a £20million fee in their sights, Tottenham are reported to be open to the structure of the deal which could see them prepared to accept a lower initial amount plus add-ons.
The 26-year-old could also be used by Tottenham as a makeweight in negotiations to help bring Toffees striker Richarlison to north London, with the Brazilian said to be keen to leave Merseyside (i newspaper).
Winks is also attracting interest from fellow Premier League clubs, Crystal Palace and Southampton.
Our View – It’s time to say goodbye, Harry
Harry Winks has been a good servant for Tottenham, especially during the Mauricio Pochettino years but desperately needs to get his career back on track having fallen way down the pecking order at the club he supported as a boy.
It has been sad to see his demise, the midfielder’s style of play has gone backwards in recent years compared to the young swashbuckling, brave player we first witnessed bursting onto the scene which saw him rewarded at international level.
